Christmas Vacation 2022

Christmas vacation 2022 was not very exciting. This was the first time we didn't go anywhere. We stayed home the first week because my parents were still working. It was good to sleep in every day.

We got together with small family groups and friends over the break, but mostly hanging out at our house because it rained a lot and there wasn't much to do outside. I was supposed to golf twice - one time with my dad and one with a friend, but couldn't go.

We spent some time at my grandma's house. My 98 year old great-grandma lives with her. One of our presents to them was having their front window painted with a Christmas scene. They really liked it. We celebrated Christmas with them and my aunt at their house.

We stayed home on Christmas Day for the first time ever. We usually go to my mom's family and there are always 45 people there. Instead my grandma (mom's mom), grandpa (dad's dad) and 2 cousins came over for the day. We watched football and had dinner. Some friends came over after the family left.

My brother Evan is in 8th grade at St. Norbert. He had a basketball tournament the whole week after Christmas. They played 4 games at Servite High School. I like going to their games because I coach 3 of them on a basketball team in a separate league.
